Girlz Win

Our Team

Paul Redman

Paul is the Founder and President of Girlzwin and has over 30 years experience in a variety of Martial Arts disciplines.

He is a former National Champion of Barbados Shotokan Karate in both Kata and Kumite, and is proficient in Kung Fu San Soo, Black Dragon Kung Fu, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Paul has an innate ability to take a complex concept, and make it simple; which is how the Girlzwin system was born.
A former Software Engineer, Paul used his attention to detail and program design ability, to create a system which covers every aspect of how a violent encounter may unfold, whilst maintaining true simplicity and effectiveness.

Paul is an engaging Speaker, who quickly finds a way to connect with his audience, and make them comfortable with an uncomfortable topic. He constantly researches his craft, consulting with Law Enforcement, victims and perpetrators alike.

Paul also volunteers his time to help abused women. He lives in Irvine, CA with his wife and two teenage sons.

Bruce Stinson

Bruce grew up in West Covina, California and has nearly 40 years experience in Martial Arts. He is currently studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is proficient in Kenpo Karate, boxing and Kendo.

He often works Personal Security Details in addition to his work with Girlzwin and enjoys training with weapons of any kind as a hobby.

Bruce is passionate about protecting women and is known affectionately as a “big teddy bear”. He has a natural way of warming up a room, with his easy style and sharp sense of humor.

Bruce lives in Newport Beach with his fiancée and daughter Alyssa.

Alyssa Lee

Alyssa is Bruce’s daughter and is following in her father’s footsteps of immersing herself into Martial Arts.

Although just 23 years old, Alyssa has already earned two Gold and two Silver medals in regional Judo competition, and practices daily the art of Muay Thai Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She plans to compete as a Professional MMA fighter, making her debut in the summer of 2014.

Despite her accomplishments, Alyssa describes the Girlzwin system as “better than all the rest”. Alyssa has experienced sexual assault first hand, and vows to help girls avoid becoming victims and also to be an example of strength despite adversity.
